Residences at Annapolis Junction Parking Garage
Residences at Annapolis Junction Parking Garage
Project Description
The Residences at Annapolis Junction Parking garage is part of a $180 million residential & mixed-use project that features private and public parking garages.
This transit-oriented development not only is connected to the Savage MARC Line, but also offers a four-level parking garage that provides 704 free parking spaces, owned and operated by the state of Maryland.
Kline was retained by the owner to design the parking garage. The cast-in-place (CIP), unbonded post-tensioned floor system was chosen for this project over a precast parking structure because of enhanced durability resulting in lower long-term life cycle cost.
A CIP parking garage has fewer joints and mechanical connections incorporated into the structure which contributes to the heartier durability of the structure reducing long-term scheduled maintenance costs.
This Parking Garage project is part of the Annapolis Junction Town Center which includes a mixed-use, residential apartment building, also designed by Kline.
