Project Description

Lansdowne Station is a new redevelopment project just inside the Baltimore beltway on Washington Boulevard (Route 1). The redevelopment project includes over 400,000 sf. of retail space, and 55,000 sf. of office space and a new parking structure.

Kline is the engineer of record for the design of the 3-story parking garage from foundations through the roof, including integral retaining walls. One unique aspect of the garage is its design to incorporate retail space at the ground level with parking above. With 60 ft. by 27 ft. typical bay sizes, our structural design using PT concrete provides expansive column-free space for retail businesses at the ground level. The storefront is built integrally with the concrete frame without the need for additional steel framing for the stores.
