Pramila Shrestha is a dedicated and accomplished structural engineer currently serving as a Project Engineer II at Kline Engineering's DC Metro Office. Born and raised in Bhaktapur, Nepal, Pramila grew up surrounded by the stunning landscapes of the Himalayas and the vibrant cultural heritage of her country. Her childhood was filled with breathtaking views and a deep connection to nature, which instilled in her a profound appreciation for intricate structures and resilient designs. Fluent in English, Nepali, Newari, and Hindi, Pramila brings a unique cultural perspective to her professional endeavors.
Pramila holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering from SIU Carbondale. With 5.5 years of engineering experience, her professional journey began after completing her Bachelor’s degree, working with engineering firms in Nepal. There, she gained experience in the structural analysis and design of residential projects. Following her Master’s degree, Pramila joined a structural engineering firm in Miami, Florida, where she was responsible for performing load calculations, designing and analyzing structural systems, reviewing shop drawings, and conducting site inspections. She is proficient in industry-leading software such as ETABS, SAFE, Enercalc, MathCAD, AutoCAD, Hilti Profis, and SAP 2000.
Pramila’s favorite engineering feat is the One World Trade Center in New York City, which she admires for its advanced structural engineering and cutting-edge safety features. This iconic building symbolizes resilience and renewal, reflecting Pramila’s commitment to innovation and progress.
