Project Description

Tel Hai Retirement Community, located in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania, is a 254,000 square feet wood-framed, five-story new apartment neighborhood for senior living constructed on a post-tensioned cast-in-place podium slab. The building consists of three wings; Wings B and D are residential blocks with 105 independent living apartments, and Wing C serves recreational purposes.

Kline Engineering was the engineer of record responsible for the design of the podium slabs for level 1 Wing B and level 2 Wing D. Kline proposed the use of post-tensioned cast in place construction for the transfer slab, consequently achieving efficiency, economy, and ease of construction.
