ALVARO CHAVEZ,

PROJECT MANAGER I

Alvaro Chavez believes that developing partnerships with clients based on trust and respect is imperative, and that this may even lead to lasting friendships. To aid in this, Alvaro maintains a problem-solving, client-first attitude which has been crucial in his success as a professional engineer. As a Transportation Administrator, he gained experience with drafting and documentation, and then as an Assistant Supervisor for the restoration of a hotel, where he performed structural analyses. Alvaro is fluent in both Spanish and English.

Though born in Lima, Peru's largest and busiest city, Alvaro and his family sought a more tranquil and relaxed life in Tarapoto, which is known as the gateway to northern Peru's high jungle region. Alvaro has remained in Tarapoto ever since childhood and now lives there with his wife and children. He enjoys learning languages, having completed English courses at El Cultural in Tarapoto and is currently learning German on his own. Alvaro earned a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering at the National University of San Martín, which he pursued in order to solve problems that are important to our society. The interest in engineering was sparked by the beauty of bridges and he often admired these engineering wonders from a distance, which can take your breath away with the scenes of valleys, rivers, and other natural obstacles!

Alvaro enjoys spending time with family, playing video games, and exercising. His favorite bridge is the Brandanger Bridge in Norway, which is a piece of art and an architectural marvel. Along with his interest in buildings and construction, Alvaro enjoys learning about and investing in real estate, which he finds new and fascinating. Alvaro’s greatest success has been furthering his career and client relationships, which in turn has improved his quality of life. Alvaro is glad to be a part of the Kline team and looks forward to contributing to one of the best structural design firms on the East Coast.
